Amy nodded silently in agreement to Flea's idea. It sounded good and it's not like she had any idea what to do. She had to take a lot of his wait so she tried not to stumble. He wasn't all that heavy but she wasn't really that strong. Amy walked, helping him to, letting him lead the way since she had no idea where she was going. The walking was painfully slow but finally they made it.
Amy examined the house well listening to Flea's explanation. It made sense that they didn't want to be found out. At least no adult had come and tried to take their house away. She didn't think that Flea's friends would let anyone do it either though.
Amy didn't really do much except for help Flea to stand. She didn't know what else to do. As the older boy came out and started to yell at Flea, she just stood there. She didn't think that the boy had seen her yet or seen Flea's leg.
Amy was right. She could see the change in the teen when he noticed her and Flea's leg. He was quick to let them in. Amy could see the other two boys. Both were younger then the first boy but they were all older then her. Or she thought that they were.
Hearing the comment about bringing a girl home, she shot the boy a glare. Amy wasn't all that amused by it but she was glad that there weren't that many people there. Still, she was feeling nervous. The only thing that kept her from fingering with her sword was that she was still helping Flea stand.
Listening to the group talk, she was able to figure out that Atlas must be the teen who met them by the door and Switch was the boy who made the comment. She could remember Flea's comment about him cleaning all day and it took all she had not to chuckle. He didn't look like the kind of person to clean.
Amy was relieved when they took Flea from her. Her arm was starting to get tired from holding him up. She stepped back a little so that she wouldn't get in anyone's way. It was soon clear that the boy with black hair was named Crow. She could tell that Switch wanted to go out and find the kid that they had been fighting earlier. She could tell that he wanted to beat him up. You’re a little too late for that. Amy thought to herself. They had already beat him and left him unconscious back by the street. He was probably just waking up right now and he was probably mad. Hopefully though, they would never have to see him again.
The red bird from the street was still sitting on her head. It wasn't surprising that no one had seen it though. They were all too concerned about Flea. Amy decided that she was going to have to name it if it was going to come with her. But before she could think of a good name, Atlas asked who she was.
This snapped her back to what was going on in the house. She could hear Flea tell them who she was. That was good because she definitively wasn't going to say anything right now. Amy started to feel butterflies gather in her stomach as everyone turned to look at her. She gulped, frozen for a second. Sweat started to drip down her face. After a few seconds she finally lifted her hand slightly and let off a small wave. She just hoped that everyone would turn their attention back to Flea soon.
