Not sure if this is a rant or if this is more suited for general chat but it is really annoying that I have to pay for books for college.
I just added another class to my mix, one more than the required amount of classes just because I didn't have to pay for one of my class books. Well that one class cost me an extra $110.00 and I am still wondering to this moment, the day before classes, as to what possessed me to add this class. I am getting the books officially tomorrow but I think its a part of me that wants to just finish my English major and get it done with so I can do psychology.
Urgh...moral of the story is to save money for college...books especially right now for those in middle school and high school.

Ah, yeah, my parents have told me the same thing. Books cost a boat-load of money.. We're all hoping that by then I'll be able to get college books on things like Nooks. They'd be cheaper and more portable! But if not.. :/
I hope everything works out for you!

Yeah many of my friends with Kindles and Ipads, just started to purchase their stuff on that. It is somewhat cheaper but still no where near as cheap as it could be.

Yeah.. When my mom went back to school for teaching, her books were pretty expensive. I think she bought most of hers used off of Amazon, but they were still around $100 each- or more. My dad had this long conversation, they are pretty common, with me in the car about college book prices. xD According to him, they are so much because they cost so much to make and only a few people buy them- so the price has to be more to pay for the printing cost.
