The people of the lower class area are usually very poor. To say they are unhappy though, would be of poor judgement. But keep in mind that there are the few bunch that mumble and complain about their living conditions. Many of the families here have parents that travel to larger, nearby cities to do business and make money. So many fathers are merchants or sailors.

It's very common for lower class families to be very large, consisting of anywhere from five to seven children. Though families with as few as three and as many of nine children are not uncommon. It would be very rare to find a home consisting of only one or two kids. Many times, if the families are smaller, relatives will be living with them as well. So, homes are very crowded. Some pets like dogs and cats are not uncommon.

Houses are small, normally made by the family that lives there. Some are in bad condition, others look perfectly fine. This side of town is rather unsafe, burglars and muggers are not an uncommon thing to find. Children have to walk a long way to get to school, and so the younger ones are always accompanied by the older ones. For safety.

Lower class people, especially kids, hold grudges against the upper class. In their view, it is unfair for them to be living in such nice conditions while they struggle to feed their families. They see the upper class as stuck up snobs who care for nothing other than themselves.
