It was probably just a little over noon but it felt as if the day was ready to come to an end. Despite the heat and the damn wind, it was an overall pleasant day for Alyssa. She had received one of her exams back and scored the highest in her class. She wasn't sure if that was enough for her especially since she still had yet to bet the grades of most people in the upper class. Considering the severe differences in the availability of resources between the two classes, Alyssa had as good as it was going to get for her. With that thought in mind, she tried to make sure it wasn't an excuse to stop her from excelling and from becoming stronger. Which brings us to why Alyssa was walking on the winding roads filled with trash and waste. She was on her way to pick up her siblings from the neighbors who had slept over the night before. She was grateful to have had them gone so she could have some alone time to herself. Alyssa let her hair out of her usual ponytail and allowed it to cascade over her face so the wind could run through her hair and scalp. Her usual black attire of an above the knee skirt with a plain wife beater like T shirt was replaced with a white spring time dress, although it was no where near spring. Alyssa had sandals on her feet but she would rather have been bare foot. The amount of disease, bacteria and litter that flooded the streets stopped her from doing so. She couldn't afford to miss work nor school. Her job at the town's fabric and garment store was the only thing she had to bring in the money, and the only real time she had to socialize. The store was in a shared area between the upper and lower class so Alyssa was always forced to work extra hard by either the royal pain in the ass who wanted everything their way or the local resident who was trying to stretch their money. Either one of them gave her a head ache but she took everything in good strides. Breathing in to herself she found a spot that was almost clean and just stopped to stand there. She would have sat down if it wasn't for her white dress. She didn't want to get to the neighbor's just yet, she wanted just a bit more time to enjoy being alone without anyone demanding or expecting something from her. Despite the filth of the road, it was one of her places of comfort. Alyssa breathed in and let a huge breath out and smiled. "Steady...that's it," A voice said in just the slightest of whispers, hardly audible at all. He aimed his arrow at the rabbit, trying to compensate for the wind. He pulled the bowstring back near his ear and let it go with it, sending the arrow propelling towards the small beast's heart. The arrow hit it's mark burying itself deep within the animal's fur.

Rhylir scampered down the tree, and pulled out the arrow carefully as not to damage the meat. "Damn, a skinny one. Looks healthy enough though, should make some good rabbit stew." He said examining the condition of his latest kill. He was surprised that he had managed to even catch anything with this wind blowing scents left, right, and center.

Disappointed Rhylir set back towards Kincho village. The fastest way back was towards the Winding Roads. He hurried through the forest, eager to return to a place where he could see danger from all sides. There were just too many variables in the forest that made it a truly dangerous place, dangerous...but vital to his survival. When you were poor in Kincho your life just seemed to be filled with irony like that.

As he walked down the path littered with trash, he saw something...or rather someone that was out of place on the filthy road. A girl, one that he recognized as being a member of the lower class. He may have known her at one time or another, maybe she was a classmate of his before he had dropped out of school.

"The road's a pretty dirty place for such a pretty girl like you. Now what could you be doing out here? This roads pretty dangerous, and even more so for a very pretty girl." Rhylir said smoothly, obviously flirting. He took a moment to take in the girl's silver hair, and lavender eyes and white dress that complimented her teenage figure.

It was rare for Rhylir to speak to the opposite sex in such a way, not because he didn't like them. Oh he liked them alright, stealing glances when they weren't looking, but he just needed to focus on more important things. And ever since he had dropped out of school the only time he got to talk to girls was at home with his sisters and mother, or at the marketplace haggling with middle-aged crones who were trying to swindle him.

"The name's Rhylir." He said in introduction, and instantly followed with, "And who might you be?"
