Alonzo Moreno
basic info;
Name: Alonzo Moreno
Gender: Male
Age: Twenty.
Upper or Lower: Upper
Birth date: September 16th
looks;
Height: About 5”7.
Weight: 130 lbs.
Weapon?: He prefers to call himself a peacemaker, thus his only weapon could only be Anita- only if he’s willing and if he’s desperate.
Appearance: Often referred to as ‘the more refined Anita’, due to his always being with her, he keeps with the title through keeping most of his hair out of his face through mainly the means of rubber bands. His hair reaches the end of his neck, often in such a way that it curls outward without being quite apparent. Its color is a dull brown, or, if seen in proper lighting, could be described as dirty blonde.
His overall stature could be described as frail or even rather childish- he is, in no way, muscular or strong. The only athletic attribute he is able to be proud of is his running, possibly, another reason why he prefers not to be involved in fights or physical debates. Because he is from Spain, he has a tanner skin color than most through the exposure of sunlight in his childhood.
Often, he is seen wearing simple clothing as not to attract attention, unlike Anita. A white collared shirt with a simple (normally red) tie along with light brown pants with deep pockets. He dislikes receiving too much attention- upper class was attention enough- thus he tries to ‘blend in’ the best way he can. In formal outings, he would wear an overcoat over the latter.
acting;
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Occupation?: He’s a scam artist, working in a little shop that, quite conveniently, sits on what one may call the invisible border of the upper and lower classes, and sells goods at a price much higher than what they are. If he wishes to, he may sell the items Anita pickpockets from local townspeople, though he finds it unnecessary and quite risky.
Personality: Alonzo is rather open-hearted and foolish, very similar to those who first enter the village, though not so much as Anita. He is still accustomed to living in Spain, thus, his customs and culture is rather different from the village. He speaks with a light accent in his voice.
As a child, Alonzo was taught to never trust anyone, and to always judge them through specific antics they do. Thus, he doesn’t believe in the class system that the village had unknowingly created, but instead, he believes in what he sees or experiences. He has a deceiving personality- while he is kind to all, the kindness is not true. If there was any sort of attribute he and Anita shared, it was the ability to lie and betray very easily and heartlessly.
He speaks of his past very lightly. It does not bother him in the slightest that he doesn’t know any of his blood relatives nor does he know any memories pertaining to his life before age five. He believes that those are trivial matters and that he should not pay any attention to them until he is required to.
Though he is a peacemaker in the most flexible of terms, Alonzo is one to take matters into his own hands, and not to tell anyone else of it. If there was a problem, then he would be the first and only to know and resolve, whether it was money between him and his customer or the law between him and the authorities. Often, his ability to speak wisely and his ability to think fast was able to let him crawl away unharmed from such situations, but there would most likely be a time whereas such characteristics would not be enough to help him.
life;
Parents?: Adoptive father - Gustavo Moreno – Alive – 52. Works as a simple storeowner in Barcelona, Spain. Well known for his ability to persuade others and ability to fluently speak.
Siblings?: None.
Pets?: The cat that appears at his and Anita’s balcony every day. He does not wish to keep it, though they occasionally feed it.
History: Alonzo was told that he was raised in an orphanage before the age of five, though he does not remember such events. He was raised in a middle-class home, went to school, and graduated the upper-school at seventeen. He had no interests in entering a university, nor did he have any interests in anything outside of Barcelona. For a lengthy period of time, he believed that he would live his life as a simple shopkeeper, most likely get married, and die an uneventful, simple life. It was a future he came to terms with after several months of dwelling upon the matter.
When he was ten, he met Anita Rodriguez, daughter of the notorious thief, Francisco Rodriguez. His own father, Gustavo Moreno, was well acquainted with Rodriguez and had tried endlessly to swerve him away from his life of crime and settle down. Because they met often, he too met Anita quite frequently, and, through a matter of what seemed like forced events, he befriended her.
As he got older, he would tell her what he believed his future would very much result in, and she quickly denied it. She told him that she would make sure that, when he died, he would never forget living the life he did. He only stated his solemn agreement towards her, not meaning any word of it. He was a rather negative thinker.
Two years after he graduated, Anita stated that they would be going on a trip to a land that no one would ever know of, not in a million years. He had stared at her with a confused complexion, not knowing whether to accept the offer or not, but upon the realization that she had already got themselves a spot on a boat with a name he cannot clearly recall, he had no choice but to follow with her.
Upon their arrival to the village of Kincho, the two of them had a steady income resulting from piling their money together, thus, they were well-off from the start. Though they are not rich by any means, they aren’t poor, either, and with permission, they were able to open a small antique shop within one of the shared areas.
