Hello! You are most likely new to this site and a bit confused as to where to start! You've come to the right post! Here I will try to explain to the best of my ability how to get started and set up here!
registering;
If you wish to register to Tension, here are some things to remember!
- We are a all characters on one account site, so that means you do not have to use your characters name! If you only want one character on this site then feel free to use their name, but you do not have to.
- This is a village rp, so things certain items, clothes, and ideas are not going to be available here! If you are upset by that, don't join!
- Read our rules before making an account! If there is something there that you don't like, don't join!
So keep those points in mind while joining!
how to start off;
Good, now that you have made an account we can get on to some more productive things. I assume that since it was mentioned above, before you made an account you read our rules. If you didn't, do that now! It's very important to know the rules of a site before you become active on it.
Since you are a new member, we would love to get to know you! A nice thing to do would be to make a thread in our introduction board introducing yourself! We love to know who our members are and a little about them! Also, feel free to socialize in our cbox! It's fun to talk to your fellow members! ;D
Now that you have done those things, we should move on to a very important task....
making a character;
This particular job is a huge one! Your character is going to affect many things on here. You can find the character app here. Then just make a new thread in the "submit your character" board with the title as your character's name. If you are out of character ideas, or wish to help somebody out you could create a character somebody else needs. Check out this nice thread credited to Aatiyah where others may request characters to keep their plots flowing.
To start off, its best to read the description of the upper class and the lower class. Remember, those things mentioned don't really affect your characters personality. It just determines where they will live, their siblings number, and the amount of money they may have. You make a snobby lower class or a friendly upper! You aren't confined to the classic rich or poor person.
An important thing in a character is their appearance, and here is where the whole face claim situation comes in. You may use a face claim if you wish, an anime one at that, you could base your character off a picture you find, or you could solely use your imagination!

If you are using your imagination and wish to use a picture, something like this might help you!
For your weapon, if your character uses one, look to the weapon store page first. It should give you a description of the weapons you may chose from and the sizes they could be.
We don't allow any characters younger than seven, but that doesn't mean there is a limit on how old your character can be. We allow adults and even elderly people to be created on here. But please, use common sense and don't make a person two hundred.
rping;
Before they start rping, many people like to make a plot page or find a nice rp skin. A nice site to find both rp skin and plot page templates is here. You do have to register.
Since we are a liquid time rp, you may be in as many threads as you wish. You know your limit, though. Don't have more than you can handle.
If you are looking for an open thread to participate in, a place to look would be here. That lovely idea is also credited to Aatiyah. If you wish to start your own thread, then you may do so. Just locate the board you wish to place it in and hit the "create new thread" button. Type up your post and submit it! Remeber, each topic or reply must be at least one paragraph long! They can be on the shorter side if your muse is shriveling, but it must be one paragraph! If your thread is open, then you may want to reply to this topic saying so. Others may see it there and reply!
